Panhandle Butterfly House in Milton, Florida

The Panhandle Butterfly House & Nature Center is a must-visit for all nature lovers. Originally located in Navarre by the beach bridge, tourist and locals have been visiting this center for over two decades.

They recently moved locations to Milton at 4966 Henry St., Milton, FL 32570. Their new home is located on 10 acres in downtown Milton to continue their goal of increasing environmental awareness by allowing visitors to connect with Florida's native butterflies, botanical gardens, and nature trails.

If you are looking for a peaceful adventure where you can experience the environment and learn more about butterflies that are native to the area, this is the quick trip for you.

We recently took a tour of the new butterfly house in Pensacola! Watch us explore here:

At the Panhandle Butterfly House & Nature Center, you’ll find:

  • Vivarium filled with live butterflies
  • Tiger Trail, a ¼ mile nature trail
  • T.W. Jones House filled with history and butterfly education
  • Native gardens outdoors
  • Wings and butterfly-themed gift shop

The Butterfly House welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission fees are $7 for adults and $5 for children, with free entry for children under 5. A typical visit to the Panhandle Butterfly House lasts about an hour. They offer special events and activities suitable for all ages. If you’re planning a family visit on Friday or Saturday, be sure to also check out the West Florida Railroad Museum, conveniently located right across the street.
