Q: Why should I use a professional to manage my Cantonment home?
While the reasons our clients choose professional management vary, here are some of the key reasons people elect professional management over self-management:
- We understand and apply the correct federal, state, and local laws, keeping you from making serious mistakes you don’t even know you are making.
- We know the local market, have an extensive network of tenants ready to rent, and have advertising resources available to us at discounted rates. This allows us to effectively market your vacant home to prospective residents to get it filled faster.
- Our screening tools are superior to the products available to the DIY landlord.
- We conduct routine property evaluations. Many landlords underestimate the value of gaining access into the property while it’s occupied or properly documenting the property before and after tenants.
- We handle maintenance and emergency repairs using licensed, insured vendors with proper worker’s compensation coverage.
- We enforce collection of rents and serve the proper notices upon failure to pay.
- After you add up the increased rent we can often command, the discounts you'll receive on advertising, and the company rate we get on repairs, you'll often make more money than if you managed the property yourself! As a plus, our fees are tax deductible.

Cantonment, Florida, begins as an extension of North Pensacola, just north of 10 Mile Rd. and extends to south of Molino, Florida. Cantonment’s history dates back to 1814 when it became a refuge for Andrew Jackson’s troops. As a rural community on the outskirts of Pensacola, it is home to considerably fewer residential homes and few commercial properties like shops, restaurants and businesses. International Paper’s Pensacola Mill opened in Cantonment in 1941 and has served as one of the area’s largest employers for over 80 years.
The Cantonment area offers a mix of older and newer residential communities, and communities with homes on acreage that is rare in the city limits. The lots are larger and homes are fewer and farther in between with horses and agriculture alive and well. Residents like that while Cantonment has a quaint, small town feel and southern hospitality is alive and well, they are still within an easy commute to a city. Cantonment is also home to the Perdido River Wildlife Management Area. Popular subareas in Cantonment include Muscogee and Gonzalez. If you’re looking for quiet country living just on the edge of town, you will love Cantonment, but you wouldn’t want to buy a residential AirBnB here, as it would not be very successful.
